Record Player - 1981RECORD PLAYER
signs new publishing deal with New York based Deeper Slice Music Publishing. Worldwide publishing administration will be under the watchful eye of Sony Publishing. The deal is  designed to accommodate  new releases of classic Record Player songs for Asian, and European dance markets. The first single, tagged for release by Los Angeles,  independent  Now And Again Record label will be "Free Your Mind" - originally released in 1979 on Gem City Records. That release took the platter to # 9 on Black Radio Exclusive charts, followed by the previously un-released "Fantasy" from the RP archives. No release dates have been set, but early promos are reportedly in the hands of rack jobbers and DJ's as we speak.
Group members, (l-r top) Larry Kidd, Keith Nash, Charles Jackson, Lamar Webster (l-r) Delbert Jones, Mike Jennings, and Dallas Webster will join with, Sam and Charles Carter (not pictured).
