It
started out as a satirical comment by some dude on a message board,
but the other day, attorney Alan Dershowitz says that it might be
necessary for officials to go to a judge and get a Torture Warrant.
Besides the fact that a tortured individual will tell the torturer
any story that stops the pain, apparently torture is already an
accepted method of gathering information pertinent to major crimes
or matters of national security, but Dershowitz just wants the decision
to be sanctioned, so that police won't have to question having done
so.
