The NFL

During the 1998-99 NFL season, the most dominant quarterbacks in the country were John Elway, Randall
Cunningham, Warren Moon, and Dan Moreno. Four guys who should have retired with Joe Montana. This
year the entire league is on it’s collective ear. Sorry teams are sitting at .500. The RAMS were undefeated
deep into the season. The same thing goes for the College ranks. Ohio State is having a loosing season,
UCLA and USC played each other down to a sorry nub, where the winner lost by the smallest margin.
This is just a symptom of an even larger problem that I have been predicting for the past 10 years. Our
youth are becoming soft. Our young athletes are far too willing to accept a butt whipping, and as a result
nothing of any value has come out of the nation’s high school athletic programs in the past 5 to 10 years.
This is why nobody can come up with a winning college football card that will cover the spread. It also
explains why old men can lead their teams into play-offs and Superbowls without the fear of being sacked
by pitiful defensive lines, being led by a poor draft pool a couple of years ago. This is why we don't have an NFL Team in L.A. Hell, we have Satellite
Dishes.
Tomorrow I will say the same thing about the NBA, so don’t waste your time reading it.
