years? This guy Junta, was convicted of killing another hockey
dad, Mr. Costin. He got off pretty easy for murder. It was probably
an accident, and I'm sure that he hadn't planned to kill the dude.
But in murder cases, you have to take your victims as you find them.
That's personal responsibility. Costin's son had it right, though.
At the sentencing, he said, "No matter how much time you give
Junta, his Dad got more… Maybe I'm coming down too hard on Mr.
Junta. He was using force to restrain a combative individual. He
had to keep pounding the guy until he was submissive. The guy was
not following his orders to lay prone, and stop resisting, so he
only did what any good police officer would have done in the same
situation…
