How simple can I put this.
The Confederate flag is the
symbol of the losers of the "War Between The
States." They were not heros. They were
losers. They were not martyrs. They were losers. They
did not fight for a noble cause. They fought to
uphold slavery. Their fight to preserve their way of
life meant that they would deny slaves a life. They
were not good, hard working, christian people,
fighting to defend what they believed in. They were
slave owners, fighting to defend the indefensible.
And. They lost. They suffered an
awful, and disgracful ass whipping. They were
the confederate states, and the flag was the
banner to which they pledged their allegiance. They
lost. Their desendents are not confederates, or
veterans of the War Between The States, but
Americans, whose allegiance, I'm told is to the
United States, and our flag. (You know. One
Nation, Under God...)
So, they should just stop it.
Stop trying to hoist up this pagen God, and attempt
to revere it. It is, and will always remain the symbol
of the losers.
But if they don't mind being
reminded of this disgrace,
I don't mind watching them disgrace
themselves. Let the flag fly on. |
