| I don't care
if the banks charge non customers for using their
ATM. A non Customer should pay a little something for
the convenience. My problem is why does my bank have
to charge me for using a foreign ATM. I am their
customer, and I am using their ATM card, to get my
money out of their bank. They can pretend that an ATM
transaction is such a costly matter that it requires
them to take a fee on both sides. I pay my bills
on-line, and they don't charge me for those
transactions. I worked briefly at a company that made
ATMs. Guess what's inside the big ATM vault
A Pentium
computer, running Windows NT. When the foreign
ATM calls my bank's computer, it does not cost
anymore for my bank to answer that call than it does
to answer my computer when I call from home. So quit
cheating, and make a reasonable profit. |
