| One Liners Where they say it, and I respond to it... |
GW Bush [President of the United States]: On the subject of affirmative action at Michigan University, Mr, Bush warns Against the 'Soft Bigotry Of Low Expectations' directed at minorities.
Me: So, the 'hard bigotry' of Jim Crow, and other institutional forms of racism, were reflections of the low expectations of whom ?
Al Rantel - [Talk Show Host]: Perhaps there were problems in the 50's, 60's or the 70's, but black and minority children today don't need any set asides, if they just work hard.
Me: Perhaps if somebody would just send over a slave for me to use for about a generation, my kids won't need any affirmative action. (note: normally I am not a big supporter of affirmative action) WHY
Anonymous [Brother at a civil rights gathering]: The man and his racist institutions has to accept responsibility for the disadvantages faced by many black people.
Me: And if they will take responsibility for getting us into this mess, will you be responsible for getting yourself out of it
