The Big Time

When Tony Joe White and Brian Mullberry abruptly quit the Nomads, the group had some contractual obligations outstanding. Several days later, Steve Schockly, the group's guitarist and musical director made a clandestine offer to the Image. (He called us You Crutchers) He said that Mark had until the week-end to build another act around himself and Tiemyer McCain, and if he failed, he wanted the Image to defect from their band, and become the Nomads. The young Underground (Stevie, Vincent and Norman Beavers, and Terry Williams were considered to be the top band in Dayton-Land, and many an evil thought was directed at Mark's effort that week, by his Colonel White classmates, The Image, hoping he would fail to put it together.

Well, he talked his sister into giving it a try, pulled Tommy Shelby away from the Bad Bunch, and the rest, as they say, is history.
