Dayton Music Guide -Get The Full Effect Original poem By Frank Johnson   Many great poets have pasted through the years but the 60's and the 70's produced some of the greatest black poets in 400 years,   The black man has always had great poets you see ,like Paul Laurence Dunbar the greatest of thee.   But the sixties and the seventies showed that we were all around like Nikki G one of the greatest black women found .   Ossie Davis and Ruby D they both were poetic their was Malcom x and Martin Luther King and all the poets on the block the Last Poets the Watts Prophets and {The Black.  Truth }.were hot.   their words went from Harlem and smoothly into Watts and in every state and on every block.   To help black people from being oppressed all the black poets did their best ,some spoke with grace and some spoke with speed and some talked of peace, and some talked of violence  in the streets, but we all had a message for people you see.   The black poets did their best to stop racism and oppression and all that, I called them all poet prophets you see because the talked of things that would eventually be.
